I wanted to share a strategy with you that can help you grow your business quickly. Today, I want you to think of 3 people who you can form an alliance with. By working with other people you can increase your reach dramatically. The average person has a sphere of influence of 250 people. By forming alliances or partnering with people, you can get your message out to more people faster.
You can partner with people that complement your business or are in a completely different business. For example, a small business selling widgets could run a promotion with a restaurant. Every person that buys a widget receives a gift certificate to that restaurant. Likewise, a CPA could form alliances with business attorneys, commercial insurance agents, etc. as their services complement each other.
In short, by partnering with more people, you gain more exposure and provide better value to your existing people within your sphere of influence. So, whom can you form alliances with to make your business stronger and reach more people?

I am currently attending a seminar in Cleveland, OH. Dan Kennedy, who is one of the best marketers on the planet, is hosting the small event. He and Glazer-Kennedy Insider Circle (GKIC) currently influence over one million small business owners on an annual basis. I share this with you because while I was focused and studying at the seminar today, I used the strategy of partnering.
Last week my new book hit #1 on Amazon in the categories of “Direct Marketing” and “Marketing” within “Small Business & Entrepreneurship.” I then switched it to a free version as a promotion with Amazon to gain more interest and momentum. The book hit #1 in the free category as well.
Knowing when the free promotion ended and the book would go back to the paid category, we knew we needed a big push to get the book back to #1. I say “we” because I hired an expert in getting books #1 on Amazon (e-mail me if you would like his contact information). We used the strategy of partnering and last week I sent out 27 personalized videos to people asking them to email their sphere of influence. Eleven people emailed their sphere of influence today, posted in forums, posted on their social media, and even used word of mouth to spread the word about my book. Partnering is just one of many different strategies we utilized to get my book to #1 originally, #1 on free, and also back to #1 on paid.
The book started today at #46 and when I got back to my room tonight, the book was #1 on Amazon in both categories again. Without hiring an expert, and partnering with people, it would have been impossible for the book today to hit #1 on Amazon for a second time, without even being near a computer. I am extremely grateful to those that purchased my book and those that helped by recommending book to their contacts. Thank you!!!
We also offered the people that mailed today exclusive access to a special training webinar just for them. This provides tremendous value and also answering the big question, WIIFM (What’s in it for me?). By continually offering value and serving the people you partner with, you strengthen your relationship.
